This is probably the best first post of the year I could have hoped for. I hopped on Twitter after the New Year's festivities settled down to find a new teaser for NeoToonami. You might remember they put out their "Big Preview Pt. 1" about six months ago. Since then, the team said they were working on a massive CGI overhaul to get everything looking amazing for the premier. It was originally set for 2011, thought that obviously didn't turn out. The stream will premier in 2012 now, but from the looks of this new teaser it will absolutely be worth the wait. They were seriously not kidding about the overhaul stuff. It now honestly looks like something Cartoon Network would put out on their own and it gives me that warm fuzzy feeling that things will pick up right where they left off (when Toonami was still awesome). So enough talk, check it out:

Say Hello to the New Review Layout!
As you may or may not know, I famously (well, I'd like to think so, anyway) created the review system for both The Players Republic and Twinfinite. If you'd like, you can read about it here. I never actually got to use this system over here at Installation 04, but the more I think about it the more I dislike about it. The execution, in my opinion, still needs work. So I've decided to streamline, reorganize, and birth a whole new review layout based on my original system. This will be used in all future reviews here at I04, and I think readers will really dig it. As always, I'm on a mission to write the highest-quality reviews around. Details lie beyond the break.

Here it is: The Official Zelda Timeline
Christmas has come early for Zelda fans. The comprehensive and official Zelda book "Hyrule Historia" was recently released in Japan and it only took fans days to translate the timeline published within. The book's supervising editor was Eiji Aonuma himself, making it that much more official. So, without further delay, there it is:

VGA 2011 Wrap
Lots of stuff from the VGAs, yet there is so little to care about. Regardless, there's a bunch of trailers after the break.
Metal Gear Rising lives as Revengeance
[EDIT] Trailer's gone. I'll put it back up when it's officially released. Trust me when I say it was awesome.
The VGAs are tonight, and that means a mini E3. The first thing to leak is a trailer for the reworked MGS: Rising, now Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. The big news here is that Kojima is no longer developing and Platinum is in charge now. Yes, that Platinum. And holy shit, this game looks fantastic. My interest is rising by 200%!
Keep it tuned here for all the VGA news!
