Fallout New Vegas

Alright people, I know I don't post much but this trailer is epic. I've never done a game review and I usually just rant about what I'm thinking right then, but this is different. I was a HUGE Fallout 3 fan, and they are now making a new Fallout game "Fallout New Vegas", and I am excited. From the few flash screen shots and such that are floating around the interwebs and other mystical sources, I have been able to gather the fact that the gameplay and graphics are VERY similar to fallout 3, VATS included. But, let's not talk about that. Never mind that my grades will die a painful and slow death, this game is gonna rock. Instead of posting stuff that you can all read yourself and would require an extensive amount of typeing on my part, I'm gonna post the trailer and some links to informative pages.

So my goshparpen computer wont let me post the images, but these are scans from a magazine that are very helpfull....READ THEM!!

  1. That was a great post! I had no idea there was any information available at all for this game. It looks great! Familiar yet subtly different, I think it has the potential to be better than Fallout 3.

  2. In my opinion this game looks like they are copying Bioshock's music again, and the VATS is a sigh. Honestly, after Borderlands I'm not counting on this game exciting me. Like the post though

  4. (WARNING may contain spoilers to Borderlands) Well Fuzunga knows that I was a FANATIC about fallout 3, so maybe I'm seeing it from a different perspective. The thought that they are copying Bioshock is almost true. Fallout 1 was released in 1997 and Bioshock was released in 2007. If you go back and listen to the original soundtrack for Fallout 1 it is still that old timey music. As far as Borderlands goes, I was impressed by the gameplay but the story line was very loose and the ending was DISAPPOINTMENT IN CARNATE, but that is just my opinion. (SPOILERS)= I mean the big boss battle was good, borderline epic, but when the vault sealed and all you go were those crappy poop guns and vault key I was disappointed. But this isn't a comment on Boarderlands. I really enjoy the consistansy that the Fallout games have. For instance, Ron Perlman has been the narrator for that game series since it came out in 1997, before he was a big deal. Now that is consistancy. Whatever, this comment is getting way to long so thats about it.

  5. The fact of the matter is if anyone is copying anyone it's BioShock. Like MonkeyLord said, Fallout was around a decade before BioShock. Fallout 3 may have come out around the same time as BioShock, but the universe was established long ago as the 1950s version of the far future. BioShock is founded in the actual 1960s. That's why both games have a similar musical style. Also, I totally agree about the ending of Borderlands, although the new DLC apparently extends the story. Also, I wasn't too pleased with the ending of BioShock either.

  7. well did system shock come out before Fallout and have same music? Because then I would be wrong musically; nothing against the Fallout games. They are consistent but I'm not a fan of RPG shooting (rather than shooting-RPG)

  8. maybe I am missing the point of your comment (no malace intended). I have heard the System Shock 1 and 2 music and they both sound nothing like the Fallout soundtrack. They are all technologyish and hackery, if that makes any sense. Whereas the fallout music is oldtimey. Maybe I am missing something, but to me Fallout wasn't copying that at all.
