I stumbled across this today and thought it was quite impressive. David Friedman, son of famous economist Milton Friedman has proposed the creation of the Seasteading Institute.
This ocean platform pictured in the model above will become the new frontier in political theory research. The sole purpose of the Seasteading Institute is to test various types of governments and see how humans cope under the conditions placed. It's an ambitious project that is already undergoing construction, and perhaps it will pave the way for the creation of future pseudo nations.
